A close friend forwarded an e-mail to me. It contained the picture you see here, of a flyer advertising the sale of slaves in the United States. Yes, it was 175 years ago, but it's worth remembering that the slave trade went on for over 300 years in the Americas. Take a moment to read this, and consider how your reaction might have been.
Slavery was legalized in North America, almost 200 years prior to this particular sale, in Massachusetts. You can read more at Wikipedia.
